Fallen Brothers

The 37th Annual Newark Fire Department Memorial Tournament will be held on Monday, September 27th, 2010.
In memory of our fallen brothers Capt. Vic Lardiere and Capt. Joe McCarthy as well as all who have made the supreme sacrifice.
Once again the beautiful Weequahic Country Club is the venue for this year's event.
As in the past the primary sponsors of our 37 year tradition are the Newark Firefighter's Union and The Newark Fire Officer's Union, Local 1860 IAFF-AFL-CIO-CLC.
All proceeds benefit the Firefighter Michael J. De Lane Memorial Fund as well as Make-A-Wish.
There will be a shotgun start at 0930hrs and all participants will want for nothing throughout the day. Breakfast and lunch will be on the course as usual with our traditional prime-rib dinner and open bar to follow at Cryan's "Beef and Ale".

As it appears that I will retire on 10/1 this may well be my last huurah in running this thing. If you've played before you know how much fun this is if not just ask someone who has. So please come out and join the fun and be part of a proud tradition for two great causes.
